Wild Sign Jacob Corson-Heron

The YKK sponsored Widnes Wild are pleased to announce the signing of experienced forward Jacob Corson-Heron for the remainder of the season

Corson-Heron has not played competitive ice hockey for several seasons but has an impressive hockey CV, having played over 300 games at EPL level for Manchester Phoenix, Basingstoke Bison and Milton Keynes Lightning.

He was a Milton Keynes junior player and was selected for the South West Conference representative team on 3 occasions.

Jacob has two EPL titles to his name, winning the league championship in the 2009/10 season with Milton Keynes and in 2013/14 with Manchester.

He last played in the 2016/17 season when he was with Deeside Dragons in the Moralee Division for a short period.

Talking about joining the Wild, Corson-Heron said:

“I’m really excited to get back playing after a long spell out with injury and work and family commitments but now I’m more motivated than ever to get back playing and seeing how far we can go at Widnes this season. And I can’t wait to make my debut against Billingham!”

Widnes Player Coach Richard Haggar said of Corson-Heron:

“Jacob comes with lots of experience having previously played for Manchester Phoenix. From his first session with us he has showed the skill he possesses. He has improved week on week and is raring to go this weekend. He’s also fitted in straight away with the team and will add speed, determination and will put 100% in every shift, I can’t wait to see him back playing and doing what he does best.”

Jacob Corson-Heron’s home, away and warm up shirts are available to “own and loan” at cost of £80.00 per shirt for the season.
